About our clinic

Our Wakefield-based clinic provides a safe and welcoming environment for families who prefer a less 'clinical' environment. Our therapists provide comprehensive therapeutic services to families, including assessments, detailed reports, and a range of evidence-based therapies. We are committed to a collaborative, client-centered approach, developing personalised goals that align with each child's specific requirements and interests.
You can find us at building 3 of The Gateway. This is located by entering the Ramada Hotel car park, we are in the building to the left of the hotel.

I provide neurodiversity-affirming speech and language therapy and love working with children in the early years and primary. I believe in building strong, supportive relationships and creating therapy sessions that are playful, meaningful, and child-led. I'm a big fan of using bubbles in therapy—they're brilliant for building connection and bringing smiles to little faces! My work spans both clinic-based one-to-one support with families, as well as in-school services—delivering groups and individualised therapy plans. I am highly experienced in delivering VERVE interaction therapy and love supporting parents! My Specialisms include language disorders, social communication differences such as autism, speech sound delay and disorder & VERVE interaction therapy for early years.

I have a passion for supporting children within the early years and primary. I love to play games, creating resources and using my creativity to make speech therapy fun motivating and exciting for the children I work with. I have a background in developmental and educational psychology, after studying this for my undergraduate degree. I then worked within nurseries and early years settings where I loved taking a lead in supporting children with their speech, language and communication needs. This lead me to completing my Masters degree in speech and language therapy. I currently support 11 schools across West Yorkshire and have regular families in our Wakefield clinic. I have completed further training in Gestalt Language Processing, the SCERTS framework and speech sound disorders. I have further qualifications in supporting Speech Sounds and am helping our service continue to provide 5* rated support in this area!
